The Business Development Consultancy is often invited to help teams to explore issues concerned with their effectiveness. This might be concerned with developing strategic direction and establishing priorities on the one hand through to team development and managing relationships on the other hand. We have considerable experience in working with teams at all levels and have access to a variety of tools and techniques to assist in this work.
We work with our clients to define their needs accurately and then develop an approach to meet the agreed brief. Our team development work has typically fallen into the following categories:
In our team development work we have found that the exploration of these issues often allows 'blockages' to be identified, discussion to take place and a shared view of how to move forward to be developed. To help provide the insights required we often profile teams using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator. This means that it is possible to explore the differences between people and to examine how individual differences can be seen as a resource to a team rather than a source of conflict. This analysis is often complemented by the use of Interplace IV that enables Belbin's team roles to be analysed.
