Speaking With Confidence
About the workshop
Can you relate to any of these?
- Do you keep quiet rather than speak up?
- Do you worry about how you come across to others?
- Does the thought of people looking at you make you dry up?
- Is the inability to speak up for yourself holding you back?
This very participative workshop is either a stand-alone day or a follow up to Confidence Lab. It recognises that speaking up for yourself is one of the commonest workplace fears and can often result in not feeling capable of doing your exiting job or avoiding otherwise interesting and challenging opportunities.
Your tutor and the small group you will be part of will ensure a safe supportive environment in which to address some common workplace fears.
It will begin by exploring issues of shyness, lack of confidence and fear and how this affects our emotions and behaviour.
By using a range of confidence boosting techniques and strategies for handling situations you find difficult you will return to the workplace as a more confident and positive person.
