The Business Development Consultancy has a core team of Consultants and Associates with a wide range of skills and experience drawn from the NHS and other public service organisations.

Peter Tonks BA (Hons), DMS, ACIS

Peter is the Director of the Business Development Consultancy and has been with the Consultancy since it was founded in 1991. He works primarily in the areas of organisational and management development, human resource management and training. He has carried out work on behalf of the Business Development Consultancy throughout the NHS and other public service organisations, as well as overseas, on a consultancy basis. Peter has considerable experience of the public sector having been employed in both the Health Service and Local Government.

His current work involves him in taking a lead role in maintaining and developing the Business Development Consultancy's recruitment consultancy work. He is often involved in supporting organisations in the recruitment of Chief Executives, other board level appointments and staff across all disciplines. He has also worked on a range of diverse projects for clients including developing organisational development strategies, leadership development, career planning and coaching.

Stephen is Principal Consultant and as one of the founding partners, has worked with the BDC since 1991. He takes primary responsibility for the Business Development Consultancy's training and development portfolio as well as working in the areas of human resource management and organisational and management development.

Stephen has worked throughout the NHS for the Business Development Consultancy and has a background in HR, training and organisational development. He has worked on a diverse range of projects including developing a competency based approach for several clients, designing and delivering management development and training solutions, job evaluation exercises and recruitment and selection assignments. He also acts as Programme Manager for several of the accredited management development programmes and is also an External Advisor for the Institute of Health Care Management.

Eileen Brennan

Eileen is the Business Support Manager for the Business Development Consultancy. She provides a professional business support service to the BDC on all consultancy, training and research activities ensuring an efficient and effective service is delivered. She is also the first point of contact with our clients. Eileen joined the Business Development Consultancy in 1999.

Eileen has a background in training administration in the private sector and her skills are used to good effect. She provides support to the qualification based programmes, administers the 'tailor made programmes' and also provides assistance on recruitment and selection assignments.

Lynn Wesbury

Lynn joined the BDC in January 2003, and provides clerical and administrative support to the whole team and to the BDC's training portfolio. She is often the first point of contact for all programme participants.
