Associates

The Business Development Consultancy has a range of Associates who form an integral part of our Consultancy team. They have all previously held senior/board level jobs in areas such as human resource management, financial management, general management and training & development whilst others have an academic background. Their contributions have varied widely and in recent months have included contributing to our teaching programme, career counselling etc.

Associates who are currently working with us include:

Dr Lawrence Benson - Lecturer at Manchester Business School . He focuses on health and social care policy, management and information and lectures and consults on leadership development and the impact of policy on organisations.

Dr Helena Boschi - Helena started her career in sales and marketing and moved into training and development where she led on culture change initiatives and new development practices. Helena has led global teams through the design and delivery of company - wide leadership development programmes. Helen has been working with the BDC on the development of a leadership framework and development centre process for a major client.

Robert Cragg - Senior Consultant ORCNI. Robert has worked in the NHS in operational management and also at Strategic Health Authority level. In his consultancy role he works on leadership development, talent management at a local and national level, leadership research and is working in support of the national clinical engagement project.

Hugh Flanagan - Managing Director of ORCNI which is a leadership and research consultancy established in 2004. Hugh works on improving organisational performance through enhanced leadership impact at all levels in organisations. Hugh has worked extensively in the health, social care and university sectors and works with the BDC on research and leadership development programmes.

Alan Gorringe - Director ORCNI. Alan has worked in national and international consultancy and is now a Director of ORCNI leading on coaching. He has worked across all sectors providing 'tailored' coaching solutions. He brings this expertise to his work with the BDC.

Phil Ingamells - Phil has extensive experience working in the University and Public Sectors and has lectured, consulted and written on a range of topics. He works for a number of institutions delivering a suite of accredited programmes and currently works with the BDC on leadership development.

Rachel Robertson - Formerly employed by the BDC and now works as an independent Consultant specialising in leadership and personal development. Rachel has worked in the travel, hospitality and manufacturing industries as well as the University sector and has delivered on a variety of projects both as a consultant and as an employee.

Julie Sanders - Originally employed by the BDC and now works as an independent Consultant who specialises in areas of leadership development, confidence building, career planning and personal presentation. Julie has worked on assignments within the NHS, HM Prisons, Parcel Force and National Grid. Julie works with the BDC on leadership programmes and as a coach.

Peter Tonks - Peter was an original founder of the BDC and now works as an independent Consultant specialising in leadership and management development. He has extensive experience of working within the public sector having been employed in both the Health Service and Local Government. He has also worked widely within the university sector and currently works with the BDC on management development programmes and as a Coach.
